In today’s data-driven world, businesses require accurate and up-to-date information to make informed decisions. This is where Sales database providers come in. A top sales database provider can provide businesses with comprehensive and reliable data that can help them identify potential customers, reach out to new markets, and grow their business.

The top sales database providers offer a range of services, from basic lists of contacts to more advanced solutions that include data cleansing, account-based marketing, and lead generation. They must have a vast database of companies and contacts, covering various industries and geographic locations. They must also provide detailed information on each company, such as their industry, size, revenue, and contact information. This data should be regularly updated and verified to ensure accuracy.

Why do you need a top sales database provider?

When it comes to finding new business opportunities and leads, having access to a reliable and comprehensive database is essential. In addition to providing accurate data, a top sales database provider should also offer advanced filtering options and segmentation capabilities. This allows businesses to target specific demographics or industries that are most relevant to their products or services. The provider should also offer easy integration with existing CRM systems and marketing automation tools.

One of the benefits of using a top sales database is that it can save businesses time and effort in finding new leads Instead of manually searching for contacts and information, businesses can quickly access a large database of potential customers This can help improve efficiency and productivity, allowing businesses to focus on other aspects of their operations.

However, it’s important to choose a reputable and reliable provider. The top sales database providers should offer accurate and up-to-date information, as well as have strong data security measures in place. They should also have a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to search for and access the information needed.

You cannot expect extraordinary results or closure with bad or inaccurate data. Poor or stale data can cost the organization a lot of time, effort, and money.

As a result, companies should emphasize data quality rather than quantity. Now the question is, in this horde of B2B database markets, which is the most accurate one? Getting B2B data is not a challenge, but getting quality data is.

As a sales professional, it can be tough to find ways to make your follow-up emails stand out from the crowd. You know that you need to follow up on leads to close deals, but sometimes it can feel like you’re just sending the same generic message over and over again. That’s where humor comes in. By injecting a little bit of humor into your sales follow-up emails, you can differentiate yourself from the competition and make your messages more memorable. In this article, we’ll share some tips and tricks for using humor in your sales follow-up emails, as well as some examples of funny templates that you can customize to fit your style.

Why humor works in sales follow-up emails: Humor is a powerful tool in sales for a few reasons. Firstly, it helps to break down barriers and establish a connection with your prospect. When you can make someone laugh, you create a sense of rapport and trust that can be difficult to achieve through more formal communication. Additionally, humor helps to make your message more memorable. Think about it – how many sales follow-up emails have you received that were forgettable because they were so dry and boring? By using humor, you’re more likely to stand out in your prospect’s mind and make a lasting impression.

Of course, not all humor is created equal. You don’t want to come across as unprofessional or offensive, so it’s important to strike the right balance. You want to be funny, but not at the expense of your credibility or your prospect’s comfort level. That’s why it’s important to follow some best practices when incorporating humor into your sales follow-up emails.

Tips for using humor in sales follow-up emails

Know Your Audience:

Humor can be subjective, so it’s important to know your audience before you start cracking jokes. What might be funny to one person could be offensive to another. Take some time to research your prospect and learn about their interests and sense of humor. This will help you tailor your message to them and increase the chances of success.

Keep it Relevant:

Humor is great, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of your message. Make sure that your joke or pun is relevant to the subject matter at hand. If you’re reaching out to a prospect about a software product, for example, you might make a joke about bugs in the system. This shows that you’re paying attention to their needs and can relate to their pain points.

Don’t Overdo It:

While humor can be effective, you don’t want to overdo it. Too many jokes can make you come across as unprofessional or not serious about your business. One or two well-placed jokes can be enough to make your email stand out, without distracting from your main message.

Use Visuals:

Visual humor can be especially effective in sales follow-up emails. Consider adding a funny GIF or meme that relates to your message. Just make sure that it’s appropriate and won’t offend your prospect.

Keep it Short and Sweet: Finally, remember that your prospect is likely busy and doesn’t have time for a long, drawn-out email. Keep your message short and to the point, while still incorporating your humor. This will make it more likely that your prospect will actually read your email and respond.

Examples of funny sales follow-up email templates:

Now that you know some best practices for incorporating humor into your sales follow-up emails, let’s take a look at some examples that you can customize to fit your own style.

To reach the final destination of the sales process, which is converting a prospect into a customer, the first important step is to ace the sales discovery call with the right questions. An initial conversation between sales and a prospect is a sales discovery call. The purpose of the conversation is to find out more about the customer’s requirements, problems, and objectives so that the sales team can tailor their pitch and present a solution that addresses those requirements.

In order to learn more about the customer’s requirements, the sales representative asks a series of open-ended questions during the conversation. By probing the customer’s interests and needs, the sales reps can better grasp the customer’s needs and priorities and position their products and solutions in a way that appeals to solve their problem and thus benefits them.

In the end, the purpose of a sales discovery call is to build a relationship with the customer, demonstrate expertise and trustworthiness, and determine if there is a potential fit. And in that case, sales reps can then give a more detailed presentation and demo of the solution or product.

P.S. Every salesperson must be acquainted with the BANT, which stands for Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline. These are the building blocks for a sales discovery call.

Top 10 questions a salesperson should ask during a sales discovery call:

Could you please help me understand your ongoing process?

Understanding the process of the prospect is a key aspect of the sales discovery call. It will determine if your solution fits what they are looking to solve.

What are the things you would like to improve in your current process?

Discovering the prospect’s pain points will enable you to pitch a solution that can solve their issues and will be a win-win situation for both parties.

Do you have anything in particular that you are looking for to solve your problem?

You can note down any specific requirements or challenges they may have and adapt your demo to address and solve those needs.

How is the rest of your team facing these challenges?

It can help you determine whether the purchase is dependent on a team or an individual.

Who has a direct say in the decision-making process?

This will help you understand if you are talking to the right point of contact or not and will save you time by directing your attention to the decision-maker.

What is the timeline for making a decision?

Timeline plays a vital role in the sales process, and identifying it at the beginning of the process gives clarity on when it’s going to happen.

What sort of outcomes do you anticipate from a new solution?

The prospect’s key metrics and whether their expectations are realistic.

Are there any other solutions you’re looking at? Have you shortlisted any?

This can reveal the competitors as well as what has drawn prospects to them. It can help us understand the merits and demerits we have over our competitors.

Is this on your top priority list?

This will help you understand if it’s an urgent matter for the prospect, and it can also give you a sense of whether the buy is going to be now or later.

Does this project have a set budget? Can it be altered to fit the proposed solution?

Knowing the budget from the very beginning helps you decide whether to move forward with it or drop it.

These are a few crucial questions to ask during a sales discovery call that might help you get closer to your desired level of sales revenue. Although these are not the only questions that you need to ask, they might change as the conversation progresses. You can always tweak the sales discovery call questions and go with the flow of the conversation so that it doesn’t sound scripted.

SDR: Good Morning, Am I speaking with Tom Harrison
Receiver: Hey, Tom is no longer with us.

Most of us have come across this or automatic emails stating the prospect no longer works with the company.

This happens when a prospect quits jobs, switches companies or departments, gets promoted, or is working from a new location.

One in five people changes jobs at the start of the year. According to the LinkedIn State of Sales report, the majority of sellers say they have lost deals in the past 12 months due to a key stakeholder leaving a client or prospect company. It’s a challenge for both sales & marketers to know that their prospects have changed jobs and they set out to manually search and track down their prospect’s new contact information. This can be really time-consuming and equally frustrating if organizations are not using a sales intelligence platform to fetch job change updates and feed them automatically to CRM.

Well, so what is Job Change Update?

A notification or an update you receive with the latest company and contact information when your prospect switches roles or moves to a different company. This kind of notification can be helpful for companies who are trying to keep track of their ICP. By knowing when someone has switched companies, they can adjust their marketing and sales strategies to ensure they are targeting the right people with the right details.

Why is it important to have Job Change Updates?

Salespeople and marketers put forth a lot of effort and follow-ups. And, when they realize that their mailings or phone calls are pointless because the lead or prospect, they are attempting to reach is no longer active, they proceed to manual research. This takes a lot of time and ultimately lengthens the sales cycle.

Alternately, if the company uses a sales intelligence platform like SMARTe, they get notified with the latest prospect details when prospects switch roles. This will shorten the sales cycle and save their reps time spent on manual research, allowing them to concentrate on lead conversion.

Here are five additional benefits of having Job Change Updates in addition to the importance already mentioned:

Warm leads offer more opportunities: A former satisfied customer or prospect is not a cold lead if they move jobs. Instead, they are already familiar with your organization and your offerings. By keeping in touch with them, your team can approach a new business through a person who is already familiar with your product, expanding your pipeline.

2. Low Bounces: As the database has the most recent email addresses, there is a probability of low bounce rates if it is updated. This will help increase the effectiveness of your campaigns and attract more customers.

3. Shorter sales-cycle: When SDRs have access to the latest updated information on role change, they can quickly identify potential leads and focus on creating relationships with them. This saves significant time that would otherwise be spent researching.

4. Low customer churn risk: Keeping customer churn low is essential for all businesses, especially now since acquiring new customers is more expensive than keeping the ones you already have. Even when leads switch jobs or organizations, it’s important to keep up with and nurture existing contacts to keep the connection going. As a result, your risk of customer churn is reduced because it is less likely that you will lose touch with these clients.

5. Updated CRM data: CRM data can quickly become outdated as people switch jobs. However, you can keep your databases up-to-date by setting up alerts to track changes using a sales intelligence platform.

Which data platform provides Job Change Updates?

There are numerous tools on the market that offer this functionality, but I’ll list the finest ones below:

SMARTe: SMARTe is a sales intelligence data platform that provides detailed information on global decision-makers. Data attributes like accurate mobile numbers and direct dials of key contacts will enhance your dial-to-connect ratio, which will ultimately lead to closing more deals. You get notified with every update as and when your contact changes jobs. With easy integration in place, your CRM gets cleansed and enriched in real-time.

Ø Strengths:
• Real-time CRM data enrichment to keep prospect information updated
• The best industry match rate with the 90-day refresh rate
• Easy integration with any CRM and MAP.
• Appends your database with over 55+ data attributes like mobile numbers, emails, location phone etc.
• Double opt-in, human-verified data from 202+ countries
•Sales-ready data of 207 M contacts from 20 M companies across the Globe.

Ø Weakness:
• Basic (but improving) UI/UX as compared to ZoomInfo, LinkedIn etc.

Sign up for free or request a quick walkthrough of our platform.

SMARTe’s Chrome extension: https://bit.ly/3PEnXdt

2. LinkedIn Sales Navigator: LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a sales management tool that helps sales teams identify new leads and manage their pipeline using LinkedIn data.

Ø Strengths:
• User-updated data on LinkedIn.
• Notifications and lead recommendations in real-time.

Ø Weakness:
• Too pricey with less features
• Limited integrations with other software.

3. ZoomInfo: ZoomInfo is a lead generation tool that assists sales teams in identifying leads, as well as building and maintaining their pipeline. It uses data-driven insights to assist with prospecting, allowing you to identify and connect with the right leads.

Ø Strengths:
• Access to a large B2B contact database
• Integrations with other key B2B software

Ø Weakness:
• High cost with limited features
• The database is mainly focused on North America

You must provide the right information to help your sales team perform well. Therefore, it is imperative to keep track of job change updates so that your team stays connected with their target customers.

If you are looking for platforms that can track job changes, you should automate data enrichment to keep your CRM updated and refreshed in real time.

Learn more about how SMARTe can help you stay in touch with your existing prospects and customers to improve your conversion rates and build a pipeline that works for you.
Book a demo today!

Estimate the total number of potential customers in the market. This can be done by looking at industry statistics, market research, or by leveraging a data platform.

Determine the average price per customer. This is the price that the customers in the target market are willing to pay for the product or service. It can be found by looking at prices of similar products or services in the market, or by surveying potential customers.

Multiply the total number of potential customers by the average price per customer to get the TAM.

It’s worth noting that, this is a very rough estimate, actual market size might be different, because this method does not take into account other market factors such as product differentiation, competition, customer loyalty, etc.

Also note that it’s important to be realistic and conservative when estimating the total number of potential customers and the average price per customer, to avoid overestimating the TAM. It’s also a good practice to validate the calculation with a secondary method or external data, or by comparing to similar product/services market size.

Why do I need to find my TAM?

There are several reasons why a company might use Total Addressable Market (TAM) as a metric:

Setting realistic growth targets: By understanding the size of the market, a company can set realistic growth targets for sales and revenue. This can help them to determine how much market share they need to capture in order to achieve their goals.

Identifying new opportunities: TAM analysis can help a company to identify new opportunities for growth by identifying untapped segments of the market that they could potentially serve.

Benchmarking performance: TAM can be used as a benchmark to measure a company’s performance against its competitors. By understanding the size of the market and how much of it they are currently capturing, a company can determine where they stand in relation to their competitors.

Identifying market trends: TAM can be used to identify trends in the market, such as changes in consumer behavior or shifts in industry demand. This can help a company to anticipate and adapt to changes in the market.

Overall, TAM is a useful metric for businesses to have a sense of the size of their market and its potential.

Questions to ask while defining your TAM

Here are some questions that can help a company to define its Total Addressable Market (TAM):

Who are the target customers for our product or service? What are their characteristics, such as demographics, location, firmographics, and so on?

How many potential customers are there in our target market? Are there any data platforms with industry statistics or market research reports that can provide this information?

What is the average price that customers in our TAM are willing to pay for our product or service? How does it compare to similar products or services in the market?

What are the key drivers of demand in our TAM? How do they influence the size and growth of the TAM?

What are the major trends in our TAM? Are there any changes in consumer behavior or shifts in industry demand that we should be aware of?

Are there any geographical limitations or are the customers or prospects spread across regions or countries?

What is the competitive landscape like? Are there any existing players or new entrants in the TAMt? How does our product or service compare to theirs in terms of price, features, and customer service?

What are the barriers to entry in our market? Are there any regulatory or technological challenges that will make it difficult for new players to enter the market?

By answering these questions, a company can gain a clear understanding of its TAM and identify opportunities for growth. It’s also important to conduct this analysis periodically, as market conditions and consumer behavior may change over time.
